We are not alone!
Author Michele Murr
We are not alone! Let me say it again; we are not alone!
There are times when I can feel all alone, even in a crowded room. It can feel like a void. It’s because I have forgotten about the One who makes me whole. I haven’t spent time with the One who gives me peace, gives me joy, and gives me rest. I allow demands on my time and allow my list and schedule to consume my thoughts without first acknowledging God. We need to acknowledge Him in all things.
When we try to do it all without God, it is pride. Psalm 10:4 (NIV) states “in his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.” I don’t want to be known that way. Because of the “noise” in my life, I sometimes find it hard to enter into His presence and to hear His voice. He is always calling, but do we hear Him? If we do, are we answering or ignoring Him? Do we draw near to Him or tell Him to wait? He is always around and all we need to do is acknowledge Him. His Word tells us in Deuteronomy 4:29 that when we seek Him, we will find Him! God wants us to find Him. He has orchestrated and allowed situations in our lives so that we will.
Acts 17:27-28 NIV tells us this – 27 “God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’” Pursue God, the Father, our Abba (Daddy). Answer Him calling your name! After all, we are His offspring – His children! He is waiting.
Abba, help me to acknowledge you in ALL things. I want to keep my eyes focused on You – the author and finisher of everything in my life. I want to walk out the journey you have for my life. Fill it with the things that are pleasing to You and not be cluttered with my plans or my agenda. Remove the fears and anxieties of this world that cloud my mind and replace it with the fruits of Your Spirit. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
